What is Iridology?
Iridology is the science and practice of analyzing the iris, or colored part, of the eye. The iris is an extension of the nervous system, and by reflex activity, it will reveal many things to the experienced practitioner about the constitutional potentials of the body. These constitutional potentials include both physiology and the subtler personality and behavioral attributes that contribute to the whole, beautifully unique, picture.

What is Sclerology?
Sclerology is the art and science of interpreting the red lines and other markings of the white of the eye for their reflexive, energetic, constitutional implications. The sclera reveals the individual's congestive stress patterns, including the origins, progression, and healing. The sclera will indicate the health history, and even give health indications before they have manifested symptoms or are clinically diagnosable.

What is Physiognomy?
Physiognomy is the art of analyzing the shapes and features of the face, not the expressions, in order to learn about the personality and behavioral patterns of a person. It has its origins in the ancient Chinese science called Siang Mien. Face reading reveals how a person thinks, how a person acts, and how a person is most effective and happy. It reveals his or her spending habits, his or her work and leadership style, what a person is looking for in a relationship, how a person will reciprocate in a relationship, his or her priorities in life, and much, much more. Physiognomy reveals our talents and gifts, along with our potential challenges in life.
The ancient science reflected the culture of the time, which was rather intolerant of anything other than the social norm, and described the facial features in that light. However, the modern practitioners of face reading have developed an inspirational version that is not only self-empowering and validating, but lets us know, in a heart-opening and scientific way, that other people have ways of seeing and doing things that are just as valid and valuable as our own.
Karen uses physiognomy in her Naturopathic practice in many ways. She uses it to confirm a person’s readiness to look at underlying emotional issues. She uses it in stress management counseling to see, for example, what workplace environments are most conducive to a person’s well being and how to correct difficulties in current work situations. She uses it to know how much information a person can process and understand at a time. But whether Karen uses Physiognomy as a part of a Wholistic Health consultation or by itself for its many other purposes, her goal is to confirm and empower her clients in their quest for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Karen's Practice
Karen's Naturopathic consultation consists of an in-depth iridology and sclerology analysis in which the physiological, behavioral, energetic, and personality aspects of the client are studied in their wholistic interplay. The goal of these combined non-invasive analyses is a personalized lifestyle and health assessment that gives inspiration, motivation, and accurate information so that the client may assume educated responsibility for his or her own wholistic well being. These analyses offer profound information about individual physiology, and the personality and behavioral characteristics that may be contributing to a complaint or keeping the individual from reaching his or her potential on all levels.
Karen works with the GranMed EC-1, a high-resolution professional digital Eyology Imaging System. The client is able to see the iris and sclera images in 6+ megapixel clarity on the computer screen moments after the photos are taken, and look on with Karen as she explains the unique constitution and health needs as revealed by the client’s own body.
Questions and client input are encouraged, which further promotes the formulation of a health regimen that serves the needs and lifestyle of the individual client most effectively. Karen is available to her clients if they have questions or need special motivation in times of need. Follow-up appointments are recommended as required so that balance can be achieved and maintained.
Karen's wholistic protocols include nutritional counseling and vegetarian food preparation, herbal education and application, supplements, exercise education, essential oils for internal and external use, acupressure and meridian flow work, and energetic and emotional integration. Only the finest quality products are recommended and used in her practice. Karen researches everything she uses very thoroughly and tries any new product herself for at least three months in order to note effects and quality before she recommends it to her clients.
Karen can provide ongoing support with energetic and emotional balancing and clearing. These appointments are available either in person or by telephone. Karen is a skilled empath with extensive training and natural ability in many areas of energetic facilitation.
The individualized health programs involve no fad diets, no fad products, and no drugs. Karen makes a conscious effort to keep costs to her clients as reasonable as possible.
How Can You Benefit From a Consultation With Karen?
Every person is different. Symptoms that often appear similar in many people may involve individual inherent strengths and weaknesses that must be considered in building a person’s health. Iridology, sclerology, and other non-invasive methods of analysis, coupled with the expertise and experience of the practitioner, help assure that a program for healthy living can be developed based on individual need, addressing the causes of compromised health, rather than just alleviating the symptoms. Focusing on causality, and also providing the necessary symptomatic support can save much time, effort, and money on the way to better health and balance.
Karen also offers seminars on various wholistic health topics. She offers vegetarian and raw food education with the goal of assisting people in their transition to healthier ways of eating.
